Today Joe got a letter from the District Council (guardians of the electoral roll and administrators of the rates guaranteed to have every address in the area on file) addresed to "Free Vale Drive" - he actually lives at 3, Vale Drive. Somebody working on a brain by-pass that day?

Maybe the person in question should get a job in subtitling. I remember one episode of Ballykissangel where the line "Would you like some more, Padraig?" was I seem to recall transcribed as "Would you like summer pork?" (Father gets rather deafer than usual with some accents including Irish.)

In some banks etc, they have TV screens showing the news with I assume simultaneous subtitling. Some of those are gobbledegook.
