I admit it. I'm an addict. I just love Sunday evening drama series - Lovejoy, Pie in the Sky, All Creatures Great and Small . . . I love them all. But even I think that ITV 3 is overdoing it with Heartbeat, Ballykissangel, Monarch of the Glen and Kingdom in succession on one evening!

I loved Ballykissangel and Monarch of the Glen when they came out (haven't seen the other two) but I don't think I'd bother with repeats on a midweek night...

Well, you wouldn't like Kingdon because it's Stephen Fry whom I think is lovely and you think is smug, but Heartbeat is worth the price of admission for all the anachronisms which people our age will notice probably more than any other age-group because it covers the period in which we went from little girls to would-be sophisticated teen-agers so any fashion we can go "I remember wearing that" or "I can remember grown-ups wearing that when I was little" and know that the two would NEVER have gone together.

Are your favourite TV programmes heavily loaded with stupid advertising. Here many watch evening TV for say 3 hours. One whole hour is brainwashing advertising!

Most of my favourites started life on the BBC so no advertising at all. Now they are repeated on ITV3 programmes which were 50 mintes now take 60 - so ten minutes in the hour. I press the mute button and either watch the news on text or talk to someone or make a cup of tea or go to the loo. If I have recorded what I am watching I just use the fast forward for the adverts.
