I'm all in favour of recycling. I would be glad to use recycled ink cartridges in my printer (and on my old Epson Stylus frequently did as I refilled the cartridges myself), but the cartridge we have at the moment is totally useless and produces results like this, and - before anyone asks - it started bad with very muddy colours, but we left it to 'bed in' and it has got steadily worse.

The subject, by the way, is my uncle Steve - not that anyone would know that from looking at this.

Looks like some clogging at the least. Have you tried running the cleaning cycle or whatever it's called on your printer?
(I ended up taking of and washing the print head on mine when some nozzles got clogged. Worked a treat though you are supposed to use a clean container of distilled water. I made do with a sinkful of tapwater.)-

Unfortunately it is not my printer so it is a matter of calling out IT to sort any problems however minor.
