I have just finished hanging the washing out.
It is the Swallow Group of Parishes annual fete this afternoon.
What are the odds on it raining?

Well, I'm back, and it didn't rain! I bought several cakes, loads of plants and books, and a couple of brooches.
Here they are at Nettleton's new village hall.

We always get loads of quality stuff doing the rpunds, and at the moment we are right at the beginning of the season with most of the stuff on its first outing. Jo Walgate, who was running the bric-a-brac stall, is going to pass on the little trinkets for my lucky dip at the village fete in two weeks, and any big stuff left will probably go to that bric-a-brac stall. I expect a goodly proportion of the plants will also turn up at Swallow, and then there in Thoresway's village green event also coming up. I think that the last appearance of the season is usually the car boot sale near Morrisons which gets in a whole new lot of people from Grimsby.

I just got back from our school summer fair - or fayre, as they insist on spelling it. We too had a lovely sunny day and were well supported by our families and neighbours. I arrived 2 hours in, to do my stint on the raffle table and frankly struggled to find something to spend my money on by that time. However I came home with some nice floral coasters and a few pens for school, and enjoyed some cake and coffee while I was there, as well as selling myself some raffle tickets, so I feel I did my bit!
