Never mind - less than a month to my birthday, and then spring follows.
There was something on the news (I can't remember whether local or national) about letters being sent to children from inspectors which undermined the teachers and used inappropriate language. Always remember Butler's commentary on Shaw's dictum " . . . and those who can't teach teach teachers." Times 2 with inspectors!

Happy New Year! The Wicked Witch of the West came to school today and wreaked havoc in her passing. Fortunately, she passed the Nursery by, except for a two second flash past, so we live to tell the tale. When we are constantly told we are not to let the children fail ever, how come inspectors are allowed to make us feel like untrained gherkins whenever they like?
