These were taken a couple of years ago, but they show a couple of the groups of people I hope will share this blog, namely friends and god-children.

And some of the rest - family in Canada.

And finally, me at work.
I didn't take any of these photos, so thanks to those who did.

Still haven't managed to fix it - definitely a techno-noddy. I read one of my Christmas books yesterday - "The Five People You Meet in Heaven" by Mitch Albom. It's an American book, which may or may not explain why its theology is simplistic and trite. It's a sort of re-hash on the theme of "It's a Wonderful Life"; an ordinary bloke, who feels he's somehow missed out on life, dies and gets it all explained to him by 5 people connected with his life in some way. You probably won't want to bother with it, so I'll reveal that, as a maintainance man at a funfair, the true purpose of his life was ... to keep children safe. That's OK then.
By the way, what was the film where James Stewart married an Indian girl and she got shot?

My thought is 'Broken Arrow', but I'm not at all sure.

Are we doing film trivia? On your theme, in which film are we told that your guardian angel looks like the person you would most like it to be, and this particular guardian angel is James Mason? (I'd go with that!)

  Not film trivia - I was still thinking anout "Dances With Wolves". "Broken Arrow" sounds about right - I think we saw that not too long ago.
  Not sure that I myself would like to look like James Mason, but I get your drift - I don't remember the film though.

    You can't read! Like IT (the guardian angel) to be, NOT like to be. I wouldn't want to be James Mason - I like to lust after the mean, dark and moody hero (as do you) from my strictly female - Jane Eyre, Lizzie Bennett etc. - point of view. (Wouldn't James Mason have made a fantastic Mr. Rochester - shame he never played it.)
    
    The answer, by the way, is a dreadful little film called 'Forever Darling' (1956) starring Lucille Ball. Don't watch it even if off work with flu!

PS I decided to give almost everyone books, and have been given just one cookery book! Thank goodness I got a good armful of library books. Useful if we get snowed up, but please not before Tesco delivers tomorrow. It's not me I'm worried about, but we're out of catfood.
